Dive into our Pattern Play series, where students of all ages and levels have the opportunity to create, explore, and enjoy making music in a fun and engaging way. The series consists of four progressive volumes, each providing a carefully sequenced collection of musical patterns that form the building blocks of music. By working with these patterns, students will learn to improvise and compose in a wide variety of styles, including classical, jazz, and popular music. This hands-on approach fosters creativity and strengthens both musicality and theory, making it a perfect complement to traditional piano study. Pattern Play 2 explores world-music, Medieval, classical, jazz, and blues styles, while introducing improvisation using modes and seventh chords. Students will begin creating their own accompaniment patterns with intervals and triads, expanding their ability to add depth and complexity to their musical creations.
