The D'Addario EJ38H Phosphor Bronze High Strung/Nashville Tuning Acoustic Guitar Strings are specially designed to emulate the bright, jangly sound of a 12-string guitar using a standard 6-string instrument. This is achieved by tuning all strings—except the low E and B—an octave higher than standard tuning, a method known as "High Strung" or "Nashville" tuning.​
